All of my Main Characters

I was bored recently and decided to make a list of every main character that has appeared in my published and to-be published books. This was a “just for fun” exercise, but maybe you’ll find it interesting too.

So here they are, in alphabetical order:

Andrew Caein

Books: Exile, Guardian, Harbinger, Legend

Species: Half-human, half-dragon (skin-changer)

Profession: Career soldier

Age: 36 at the beginning of Exile

Something Interesting about Andrew: He’s inexperienced with his dragon side and has a lot to learn at the beginning. Along the way, he realizes he loves to fly.

Aran’daj

Books: The Moon’s Eye, The Talisman of Delucha, War of the Nameless

Species: Murkor

Profession: Soldier. Commander.

Age: mid-50s

Something Interesting about Aran’daj: He is considered drajak’ven, an adult Murkor who has forsaken a life partner.

Books: Hunted

Species: Human

Profession: Student, then summoner

Age: 23

Something Interesting about Chandra: She holds a degree in economics, but never actually uses it.

Daggerborn

Books: The Mage War Chronicles Book 7 (Untitled)

Species: Human

Profession: Assassin

Age: mid-40s

Something Interesting about Daggerborn: Only one living person knows his real name.

Dantellion Fohn

Books: Wrath of the Dragon Kind

Species: Half-human, half-dragon (skin-changer). Considers himself dragon-kind.

Profession: Former soldier, professional gambler

Age: 327

Something Interesting about Dantellion: He fought in the wars against Novania prior to the Barrier’s creation.

Drake Keller

Books: Catalyst of the Storm

Species: Human / Mage

Profession: Mage-warrior. Nomad.

Age: 35

Something Interesting about Drake: He hates politics, but is often forced to deal with them.

Dranamir

Species: Soulless

Profession: Soulless

Age: Unknown

Something Interesting about Dranamir: She is loyal to the Nameless god and no one else. He may be the god of death, but he saved her—and in return she will do anything he asks.

Emra Castledowns

Books: The Moon’s Eye, The Talisman of Delucha, War of the Nameless

Species: Human

Profession: Knight

Age: 31

Something Interesting about Emra: This isn’t her first life, nor her first war. And she can remember every life that came before.

Helene Macen

Books: Oracle

Species: Human / Mage

Profession: Nothing official…

Age: 24

Something Interesting about Helene: She was the first Oracle.

Ikessalion Tanzarist

Books: The Mage War Chronicles Book 8 (untitled)

Species: Dragon / Mage

Profession: Battle commander

Age: Around 900

Something Interesting about Ikessalion: He lived many years along the coast near Oristan in order to spend time with his skin-changer daughter, whose mother was Sevanni.

Books: The Ballad of Alchemy and Steel. Makes an appearance in The Moon’s Eye, The Talisman of Delucha, War of the Nameless, and Serpentus, but is not a main character in any of those.

Species: Murkor

Profession: Soldier

Age: 22 in most of the stories

Something interesting about Jal’den: His favorite food is honey cakes.

Kye Verex

Books: Wraith and the Revolution

Species: Cyborg, human origin

Profession: Former scavenger. ZIEG soldier.

Age: 26

Something Interesting about Kye: He’s an avid reader and loves horror novels.

Liari Kho

Books: Cursed Blades

Species: Human / Mage

Profession: Guardian. Soldier.

Age: 55

Something Interesting about Liari: You might recognize her name from a single paragraph in Guardian…

Something Interesting about Owen: He’s common-born, one of the few who eventually earned knighthood.

Profession: Advisor to the Queen

Age: 44

Something Interesting about Ravin: He isn’t afraid to provoke or defy the gods, and he has more experience dealing with them than almost any other mortal.

Sal’zar

Something Interesting about Sal’zar: He’s one of the few male Murkor who was granted the ability to “choose” his own path—within societal expectations.

Seren Do’Vox

Books: Magic in the Deeps

Species: Sevanni

Profession: Breeder

Age: 28

Something Interesting about Seren: He’s a scholar and loves anything to do with history, whether it’s that of his people or those from the land.

Species: Human / Mage

Profession: Gambler

Age: 32

Something Interesting about Tynan: He doesn’t know how to read, but that doesn’t stop him from playing a wicked hand of cards. His preferred game is Cabal’s Thrall.

Something Interesting about Vardak: Until he met Janna, he’d never seen a forest before.

Zeldyvian Fontayne

Books: Rites of Departure

Species: Elf / Ghost

Profession: Former thief and con artist. Currently dead.

Age: 29 at time of death, but that was six centuries ago. Should ghosts continue to count their age?

Something Interesting about Zeldyvian: He once conned the followers of the chained god (of fate) into believing he was their chosen one.
