The Mage War Chronicles: Book Four
Synopsis:
Liari Kho stormed the Citadel in search of the Oracle, believing her long-time friend had been abducted. Tensions had been high between followers of the Oracle and the Triad for months, but her actions ignite the tinderbox in moments. Convinced the Oracle is in danger, Liari tips the fragile balance into all-out war.
It is only afterwards that she learns the truth: the Oracle had not been kidnapped, and Liari had acted in error.
Disappointed in Liari’s actions, the Oracle leaves, cutting her ties with Liari and those of her followers who chose to attack the Citadel. Liari leads the remnants of the Oracle’s camp away from the city, clinging to the hope that distance will prevent the Triad’s retaliation.
But the damage cannot be undone. The Triad seeks revenge and will not back down.
Neither will Liari.
