Magic in the Deeps
The Mage War Chronicles: Book Three
Synopsis:
Marked, yet unable to train as a mage, Seren do’Vox is forced into a life of the Circle’s design. The Circle rule the aquatic Sevanni people and enforce their edicts strictly, often to the detriment of those they deem problematic. Those who are judged unfit are escorted away from the colonies and left to fend for themselves amongst the ocean’s greatest predators. Most do not survive long.
As a man, Seren has little say in his future, but a chance meeting with Aila, a woman sympathetic to his plight, changes the course of his life in ways he could never have foreseen. For the first time, Seren harbors hope that he can achieve his dream of becoming a mage. With Aila’s help, he plans to break free of the Circle’s grasp, no matter the cost.
Just as he begins to believe he’s succeeded, the Circle’s greatest champion tracks him down. Forced to flee, Seren leaves for the one place the Circle cannot reach him: Land.
