An Update on Hunted: New Cover Art + Hardcover Edition
As many of you know, I’ve been focused on promoting The Relics of War trilogy for much of this year, as books 1 and 2 have released along with the companion novella. But I’ve been secretly working in the background on an update to my earlier novel, Hunted.
Hunted needed an artwork update. It’s been a struggle to market that book and find the right audience, and a large part of my problem was the original cover. It wasn’t in line with typical urban fantasy covers, and although I felt it set the tone well for the story (and I still love the artwork), it wasn’t helping my marketing woes. So, the original cover needed to be replaced with something better suited for the genre.
I commissioned Jamie Noble from thenobleartist.com for this cover, since I’ve worked with him previously for The Relics of War and The Caein Legacy. I was very happy with what he came up with. It fits the genre better, but still captures some of the darker tones of the story. (And yes, a good portion of the book is set in Seattle.)
When I originally published Hunted, I never set up a hardcover edition (it was a bit of an oversight on my part). Anyway, now that I have new artwork, I’ve set up a hardcover through Barnes & Noble press. It retails for $26.99.
You can check out the hardcover edition here: Hunted on Barnes & Noble.
I apologize to the Amazon fans who read my blog, but the hardcover isn’t available on Amazon – and won’t be until they begin to offer dust jackets as an option.
The blog is short this week, as I’m currently in Washington state (not Seattle, however) on a trip with my mom. I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled posting next week.
