Book Review: The God of Forgotten Things by T.M. Kohl
Genre(s): Fantasy, Science Fiction
Content warning: There are mild combat/fight scenes.
Once again, this book picked up right where the last one left off. This time, there’s a bit more explained about the travel between worlds and the book has started to give a slightly science-fiction vibe to the series rather than fantasy alone. It’s an interesting concept, and one that I haven’t encountered too often.
There are more character points of view throughout this book than the last, but the author does a good job of keeping track of them. There wasn’t any point where I became lost or confused, which can sometimes happen with more than a couple viewpoints. It was done well.
As book 3 came to a close, it was obvious the story isn’t finished yet. I hear there’s a 4th book in the works, and I’ll be picking it up once it’s available. The character development throughout the series has been a lot of fun to see, and I’m excited to learn where it will go next.
The God of Forgotten Things is book 3 in The Warriors of Bhrea series. You can read my thoughts about book 1, The Lost King, here, and about book 2, The Master of Night, here.
