Introducing Zeldyvian Fontayne (of the Fontayne Company)

Zeldyvian (Zel) Fontayne, aka the Sunlit Bandit, aka the False Chosen, aka…

You get the picture. Zel is a thief and conman, best known for swindling the followers of Felsyn, the chained god of fate, into believing he was their chosen savior. Of course, his scheme was laid bare the morning an unfortunate crossbow bolt lodged itself in his throat.

600 years later, he’s immune to the Rite of Departure (a sending off for the dead), and is trapped haunting the site of his demise. That is, until a certain necromancer comes along to offer him a chance at seeing the world again. And as Zel quickly learns, there are just as many challenges as there are perks to being a ghost only a handful of people can see.

Zel is the main character and narrator of my upcoming duology, The Fontayne Company. The first book, Rites of Departure, is slated to release in March 2027.
