Survivor: A new short story and a cover reveal!

I’ve been slowly releasing a new short story to my monthly newsletter, and January 31 will bring chapter 3 to readers. The story is called “Survivor,” and it features Kye Verex from Wraith and the Revolution…only a few years younger than he is in the novel. Survivor details one of his many (unsuccessful) attempts to leave Earth.

Other familiar characters make appearances too: Pablo (since he’s Kye’s best friend and salvaging partner), Kelsey (via holocall), and even Tariq (briefly, also via holocall.)

Survivor is 4 chapters in length, and the final chapter will be released to my newsletter at the end of February. At that point, I’ll make it free to new subscribers in its entirety.

I haven’t yet decided if I will sell the short story on retailers. Based on my research, short stories can be hit or miss… But since it’s related to a novel, it may do okay. If I make the decision to sell it, I’ll definitely share that information here on my blog.

But I do have artwork for this story!

I love the color palette she used to paint this, and it captures the feel of this particular story perfectly.
